Mary is a Systemic Family Therapist and a
Supervisor / Trainer working in the North Kildare area. Mary is also a Tutor on
the UCD /Mater Masters in Systemic Family Therapy training programme.
Mary provides consultation in relation to most difficulties and her approach is informed by the context in which the difficulty arises. Systemic Family Therapy, also known as Couple or Family Therapy, is a means of intervention that attempts to understand and address human beings’ pain and distress within the context in which it occurs i.e. the family or relationship environment, the social or work situation.
Mary has worked in the area of Mental Health since 1980’s and as a Psychotherapist since 1995. She works with Individuals, Couples, and Families. Mary has extensive experience in working Mental Health Issues including Depression, Anxiety, Self-Harm, Bi-Polar, and suicide ideation this list is not exhaustive. Mary works with the individual who experience mental health difficulties but also with the Spouse/ Partner, Parents, or Children of the individual who is experiencing the difficulty.
Mary has also worked for many years with couples experiencing distress or uncertainty.
