Fiona is an experienced psychotherapist and Family Therapist who qualified in Family Therapy in
2003 and has worked with the Genesis Family Therapy Service in Blanchardstown and in private
practice since 2004.
With a foundational career background in Education (B. Ed 1986) Fiona augmented her career with
an (MA. ED 1997) and a qualification as a Career Guidance Counsellor (HDCG, 1998).
Recognizing from this work and years of experience, it became apparent that many individual
problems were rooted and stemmed from within the family and social construction, this inspired her
to pursue a qualification in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy. Further to this Fiona qualified in CRA
and CRAFT specialising in addiction recovery within a systemic lens. With this background Fiona has
continued to lead the development and provision of an education programme for the Dublin Drug
Treatment Court since its implementation in 2001.
Fiona has continued to broaden her exploration of therapy practice, being among the foundational
practitioners in Ireland to be accredited to practice Emotionally Focused Therapy in 2015.
Fiona works with Individuals, Couple and Families, helping clients with a wide range of complex
issues – stress, anxiety, addiction, self-esteem, relationship issues and family conflict.
