Claire has been working in the field of Adult and Community Education for 10 years. She is trained as a Bereavement Support Worker and has been working voluntarily with Turas Le Cheile Bereavement Support Services since 2009. She has completed Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and Critical
Incident Stress Management training, and also completed training workshops in Play
Therapy techniques, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy skills, and Solution Focused
Therapy. She is actively involved in
initiatives to promote mental health awareness in North Kildare. She has worked with representatives from the HSE and counselling services in
the formation of a Planned Community Response to Suspected Suicide in the North
Kildare and West Wicklow Local Health Authority region.
Claire is also qualified in Educational and Career Guidance Counselling, and registered with both the Institute of Guidance Counsellors and the British Psychological Society. She is on the British Psychological Society’s Register of Qualifications in Test Use (RQTU), confirming qualifications in Psychometric Assessment, and the use of educational testing and personality assessment tools.
