INSOMNIA --- HOW HYPNOTHERAPY HELPS
At the root of all of our thoughts behaviours and emotions is the constant communication between the neurons within the brain. Brainwaves are produced through synchronised electrical pulses where masses of neurons communicate with each other. These are divided into two bandwidths Delta (being slow loud and functional) and Gamma (being fast, subtle and complex).
Our Brainwaves respond to our actions, thoughts and feelings.
If we are wired, higher frequencies are activated.
Insomnia can be the result of worry, fears, anxiety or badly functioning brain wave patterns. When the conscious mind is busy with worry, anxiety, fears, anger emotional conflict, the brain then has a hard time letting go of its conscious processing. No surprises there.
If you have repeated problems with getting to or staying asleep? You enter a cycle of worrying about not sleeping. Once you miss a night of sleep, you worry even more and this perpetuates the problem.
In order to break this chain of responses, the brain is going to need a little assistance to learn new responses. Hypnotherapy is a very effective way of gently guiding the brain into an alpha state. At the same time the positive part of the subconscious mind is activated to eliminate worry and anxiety triggers, creating a new sleep pattern.
It’s that simple. It’s easy, it works and I wish more people would try it instead of being awake night after night.
